I have an entrepreneurial idea that I would love to start after my college. My mom and I have always dreamed of opening a boutique together in our Orlando suburb of Windermere. We find that there is an empty spot in the market for affordable yet stylish clothing for women and teens. The store would have clothing, as well as candles, jewelry, and gift giving accessories. I chose to interview young girls who enjoy shopping, as well as one who knew the town of Windermere.
While doing this activity, I learned that there really is a need in the market. The activity was out of my comfort zone, but I got a lot of good feedback.
Enjoy the video interviews!
Great interviews and I think you will have much success in your venture! It is really tough to go out and ask random people questions especially about your business and entrepreneurial aspirations. It's really great that you want to open your own boutique, and got feedback from a bunch of people! Great post, I wish you luck on your ventures as well as with this class!
ReplyDeleteWow its awesome to see how passionate you are about your business idea! This is definitely a great idea and you should pursue it if you can! It even sounds like you already have a good idea of who you want your customers to be and I think you are picking a good place to start your business for this customer base.
ReplyDeleteThis assignment was way out of my comfort zone as well but I also really enjoyed the experience like you did. Hope it all works out!
Here's the link to my own post!

Hi Caroline,
ReplyDeleteI read you post and found it super interesting but for some reason I was not able to watch the interviews. I tried Safari, as well as Chrome, but all I was able to see was a black space, and no videos. I would appreciate it if you could send me the link of the videos so that I can give you feedback.
Meanwhile, I really like the idea of opening a boutique. I have family in St. Pete, and my aunt’s sister in law has a super cute boutique. They are distributers, so they buy most of their staff in Los Angeles, and they are doing really well. Also, you seen to already know what you would like to include in the store. Good luck!
